A challenging semi-detached house renovation Singapore project done on a tapered land plot. A granite facade creates a good blend of positive and negative frames, while slatted fencing angled at 45 degrees catches the wind into the garden, yet obstructs the view of passersby, allowing for plenty of privacy.

Freestanding round columns rim the inside of the house’s full, infinity edge glass facade, standing out with a stark absence of supporting walls beneath the freestanding glass railings framing the lush greenery of the roof garden balcony.

The front gate swings open to reveal a feature wall of compressed, tumbled edge stone, intricately pieced together with slices of slate tiles. Sturdy mild steel supports a five-sided wooden trellis, roofed in laminated tempered glass for a shady porch.

Stride across Venus Ariston White Italian marble as you step into a calming blend of grey, oyster and white hues in the living room. A central feature wall includes a set-in TV console with a cantilever top open recess cabinet of walnut veneer solid wood.

A double volume, open-to-sky air well ventilates the core of the house, allowing plenty of natural lighting into the kitchen where a stainless steel backed kitchen counter is flanked with built-in appliances amidst the kitchen’s polished white cabinet. A dual function wine glass rack fitted with base LED lights floats over and illuminates the black polished granite of the kitchen island.

The master bathroom renovation saw a standalone monolith bathtub placed atop a decking of solid chennai wood for classy, concealed drainage. This designer bathtub is filled in the style of a cascading waterfall via one of three Flamina designer curved taps mounted upon a stylish granite floating sink top, under which varying length cantilever drawers in teak timber veneer store toiletries out of sight. Tug upon the crisp steel handle of the full height sliding glass panel to reveal a minimalistic wall-mounted water closet, sitting low between a matching granite feature wall with a built-in niche.

Inviting and warm, the powder room is fully cladded in timber planks, with the water closet concealed behind a panel wall featuring built-in niche shelving for display storage, next to a full-stone granite sink with a sunken trough topped with a full length mirror.
